#622, "Matt Bluegills Line Question"

Is 15lb test enough to handle these baits or should I be using 20lb?

Feels like a 20 lb bait to me. If you're bed fishing may as well use 25 though :)

I was thinking of using it for bed fishing but also for swimming it too. I think 20lb would be a good all around choice. Thanks Nico.

15 to 17lb P-line or Maxima is fine

I gotta agree with Nico 17-20 when casting and 25-30 when bedding

I use 20# test Seaguar Carbon Pro fluro for Matt's baits.

I honestly think anything over 20 is overkill. You can't fish buttoned drag with 20+ or you'll bend hooks. Between 15 and 20 is fine, just set your drag right and it's fine.
