Anyone tried these?

http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=91236&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults

Looks like a new foot pedal design.

I have a Powerdrive that I like very much and I was interested in them as well. I had a chance to play with one a a Cabelas in Arizona and I liked it. The momentary switch is centered it seemed easier to turn the motor wile keeping the motor on (albeit I was standing still on the showroom floor). The cable that connects the pedal to the motor is also thinner and the way that it is connected to the motor does not look as if it will disconnect as easily as the original PD. No way of knowing if they have addressed any of the problems with the pedal until some people start using them. What I am worried about is the availability of replacement pedals for the old models.

I also played with the Terrova. I liked that motor as well even though the pedal is considerably larger although not that much thicker/taller than the current PD. I especially liked the stow and deploy feature, it makes it much easier to get the motor out of the water. It is still not as easy as a rope-pull an a scissor type mount but better than the current system. The motor seems like a beefier motor all around and will probably be the motor I will buy when I replace my PD.

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous

thanks John. That's good info. Those Terrova motors do look nice. I've always like the electric pedals even though most bass guys don't.

I did have to laugh at the name Terrova though. Can you picture the meeting where they were coming up with names for the product? I know guys... let's combine Terr from the word terrain with a slang for rover. We'll call it the Terrova! Just reminds me of Office Space for some reason, or that Married With Children episode where Kelly is doing a commercial for the neeeeewwwwww Alante! lol. Anyway, sorry do diss Minn Kota. I like their products despite the never ending Power Drive foot pedal problems.

I wish they had more places to try out all the motors, it would make shopping for them that much easier. Can't wait till they open the Cabelas in Reno, it was cool to see all the different motors on display.
