#3134, "Huddleston Huddlebug durability"

Last Saturday I was fishing a local club event at Lake San Antonio and decided to finally use the Huddleston Huddlebug. I was pitchin it into beds. On the first fish I catch with it (a 2.5lb), the wieght system on it gets torn clean out. So I figure this to be a fluke and tie on another. Same thing happens again on the next fish. I have no dout that this bait works great. But I do have issues with a pack of baits that cost around $11 that fall apart on the first fish. Anyone else having this problem? Just curious....and let me say again, this bait does catch fish!

Bryan, My first experience with a Huddlebug was the complete opposite. Last year during the BnT TOC Riverrob gave me one of the pre-rigged bugs to try out. He gave it to me Friday while pre-fishing and I used it for two days until a bass stole it from me. I easily caught over a dozen fish on the one bait and it was still in great shape when I lost it. I rigged it on a small drop shot hook on 8lb line. When ever I hooked up the bug would slide up the line and out of harms way.
