hi all,
i thinking about upgrading my hooks for my slammers and ac plugs any suggestions ,please include hook sizes etc.thanks I'm trying to get all my issue together for my week fishing trip to lake mead.any info on the lake would be appreciated as well.

still looking for help on this subject but my thread keeps getting buried by older threads no ones even talking about anymore.

Gamakatsu or Owners.

1/0 for 7" baits, 2/0 for 9" baits. Just sharpen the stock hook on the 12" baits.
Sometimes on 9" slammers i'll put a 1/0 on back. Be careful with 1/0 Gammies. You can bend those out like nothing.

If your going to Lake Mead then I would suggest upgrading the Owner's to the 2x just incase you hook into a big striper. I have had stripers at Castaic straighten out the regular Owner stingers. I actually found some 3/0 Owner's at the Fred Hall and I now use those on the 12 inch.Good Luck

thanks guys ,This was the 411 i was after i live near the t.w. and will go in and get me some of the hooks mentioned above.
