I bought the xh without looking at the other one,Its a great rod and has had no problems with the baits i use includding one from ebay that weighs quite a bit and looks like a 12 inch basstrix style bait.

I have been using the Okuma swimbait rods since the prototype stage. I now use the Okuma exclusively for big bait fishing. The 7’6” rod is a lot easier to handle compared to an 8 footer. After a 40+ hour fishing week I notice the difference (a lot less aches and pains) with the excellent balanced 7 and a half footer.

Mark at Okuma turned me on to a great rod for tossing wood and it was love at first cast. It is a Guide Select C-76 1H. It is 7’6” 12#-20# ½ to 5 oz. I believe it is also produced in a 7’ 10” version. The stick is a tad lighter and more parabolic than the H and XH.

If you want a rod to toss wood and hudd’s go with the H swimbait rod. Only tossing wood go with the 1H. If you have extra cash get them both.

For a trebel hook bait it is probably better to go w/ something like a rainshadow or rogue swimbait rod w/ a bit more give in the rod so the bait does not tear out...

Hey let that Bass go I wanna catch her some day

I posted the wrong rod. The correct number for the slammer rod is 761 MH. Sorry.
