Theres really not much difference between the regular Monster Jacks and the Jr.s, price wise or the odds of getting bit. A side by side comparison in size you can pretty much tell if they are going to bite the junior they are going to bite the regular Jack. Other than wieght difference for a specific combo you might want to use go with the regular one. I've caught more fish on my 7" Jacks than I have on my baby jack. A shorter rod is a good consideration too, casting on an eight footer tumbles the bait in the air. I switched to a shorter 7 footer and its helped with accuracy and distance. I don't know why that is, its just the way the bait casts. They are a fun bait to fish, just make sure to burn yourself a tail mold. You'll lose them after a couple fish.

EDIT: My bad, I checked and there is a $10 difference in the Jr. The couple places I got mine there was only a couple of bucks difference.I still say go with the full size Jack.
