I was wondering if anyone here has ever use a feather treble hook for spooks and/or crankbaits. For a crank do you think it would throw off its balance?

Do stickbaits (like Rogues) count? They're great on the sticks for jerking and can be good on cranks on a stop-n-go, provided the feathers aren't over done. On the Spooks, for me atleast, feathers=Stripers. A Super-Spook with white feathers is deadly on stripers and can increase your bites on Largemouth, especially if you add scent to the feathers. On all of these baits I only put feathers on the tail hook and then I only do it occasionally. Maybe I should do it more. Tight lines, Wade

I like em on my sammies. White w/ red or blue. Gives the sammy a different look and tends to help control the bait better on a fast walking pace. The feather creates a little drag which keeps it more stable when walking the dawg, giving the bait a slightly different, more fluid action. It looks really cool too. :o
