With the TOC coming up thought I would throw out this report from last weekend. I fished a 2 day Tourney with a local bass club. I ended up 5 th out of 10 boats. First day had some great blow ups on top water, they are on it, but not as much as they will be after the temps start to come down. Water Temp was 69-72. I had 6 lbs day one and 5.5 day 2. I had a really big fish hit the spook on day 1, and it broke the line( don't ask me how it broke 17 lb nylon ) ... So if you catch or see a fish with a spook stuck to the side of it you'll know where it came from! Big fish of the Tourney was a spot just over 3.5lbs. Winning weight was around 14 lbs. One thing you guys will notice about the lake is the amount of grass, there has been a lot of it growing from around the launch area of the lake around to the Dam. I didn't take any pictures, but there is a good launch area to the left of the Ramp. Big enough for all you guys. Hope the weather cools more, should make the fishing even better!
