Launched @ 10:30am and fished on west side of marina and the shoreline. Lake level has gone up about 10 to 15 feet and there is a lot more algae in the water. Can no longer see submerged trees on shoreline. Fished with 6" pumpkin Illusion and purple grape worms and got absolutely nada, zip, zilch. Tried live crawlers-got one stolen but couldn't hook up. At 2:30 tried a chicked liver just for the he** of it since I had them in the freezer since Sep. Fished until 3:00 and ended up with a huge stinkin goose egg :( Talked to several other people and got basically the same story. I think the rising water level put the kibash on the bite. I should have gone squirrel hunting instead. The weather was perfect. I had a nice roast beef sandwhich and saw some other tubers but didn't get to meet them.
