#14262, "RE: Dropshotting Clear"

I once caught a nice 2-lb. drop-shot fish in less than 5 feet of water (maybe 10 feet offshore, in a very shallow cove), with 8-lb. test, on probably a 15-inch leader, with a 5- or 6-inch Gambler 'Ficht Fry' paddletail jerkbait. He *hammered* it, too, not just one of those 'swimming away with it' strikes! That was several years ago, in one of the Coyote Bait & Tackle float tube tournies (how I miss them so!).
So I guess it's however you choose to rig it. Many variations will still catch fish, obviously. I was just curious as to how the guys are setting up for 'em at Clear & the Delta, which you've basically answered to some extent, so -- thanks!
