I think I've gotta have 2 wheels across the bottom to spread the weight (and *balance*!) around. When I need the cart, it usually means I've gotta take all my gear along with me, for a fairly long hike. With just that one wheel, I'd be afraid of dumping everything along the trail, at some point in the trek.
Not a bad idea, though -- thanks for sharing! (Still seeking that ideal solution, unfortunately. Never did get a response from that one website dealer I tried to contact via his site).
