when casting heavy flies i tend to have the rod tip more out to the side to keep the fly away from me and my graphite rod, but its kind of the same, once you cast them a few times you will get the hang of it. the poppers are way easy to cast, just like a dry, but the mouse takes a little more pratice because it catches so much wind. well good luck, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
