I've only been to Folsom once and did lousy but regardless of the lake, the formula is always the same if you want giant fish. You need to be fishing one of these techniques:

swimbait
sight fish
big jig, probably in black/red
big worm
live bait

You want big bass, that's what you do, it's really that simple. The odds of getting bass on anything else are long odds indeed. If you go to the lake with only those 5 techniques, you will eventually get into big fish. It might take a while or you might get them first trip just because you are re-focused on getting big ones.
