Briones is the 'bluer' one on the right. It's closed to public access (I think for drinking water purposes -- or just some other (wacko?) environmental reason), much like Crystal Springs west of Hwy 280, or San Antonio & Calaveras between Pleasanton & Milpitas (Sunol?).
I'm not sure what the 'trespassing' penalty is on these ponds if caught, but I'm guessing it's well over $200, and you're likely to have your fishing gear confiscated, as well!
Now, that's a stiff enough penalty to keep *me* from trying, but if you're one of those brave, reckless souls, I say "GO FOR IT"! I know many before me have tried, and lived to tell the story. Let us know how you do!!! (I'm not sure I really want to know, though -- it'd probably just make me *more* insane about it!). }(
