Sharkgirl & Big D. As you may or may not know, the wall is pretty much accessible only by boat. If you don't have access to a boat, you probably won't be able to fish it. I say pretty much and probably because there is a section of the wall at Cabrillo where you used to be able to access it by foot. It's right next to the Cabrillo Pier but if I'm not mistaken they have posted a no trespassing sign. I could be mistaken about that but I do know some fierce swell really crashes over the wall sometimes. Anyway, thats only one section of the wall and it would be a long haul on foot to reach the end where the really descent fishing would be. But you can reach Cabrillo by taking the 405 north to the 110. Take it towards San Pedro till you reach the end of the freeway at Gaffey St. Take Gaffey all the way down to 22nd St. Make a left and continue to Pacific. Go right on Pacific and proceed to the Cabrillo Beach entrance. There is a minor fee for entering the area but it is the only possible access to the wall by foot. I don't know who you could call for info on the accessibility to the wall there but you might want to call the Harbor authorities for some kind of feedback. If you do have access to a boat you can reach the southern section of the wall by taking the 405 north to the Seal Beach Blvd. exit. Take it all the way down to PCH and go north till you get to Westminster Ave/2nd St. Go left on 2nd and proceed one block to E. Marina Dr. Make a right to the boat launch area. Signs should be posted. Sorry the information I gave is so vague but I hope it helps in knowing where the wall is. Maybe some of the other more knowledgable board members will have more. Good luck if you are able to fish it and let me know how you do.
