Here is an aerial view of the "Rock Slab" I was referring to. Fish that whole stretch of beach and from the rock itself. This picture is from a report on Pierfishing.com from today. This is Martin. Very cool dude. You will probably bump into to him this summer. Hope this helps. And by the way. There will be a Pierfishing.com Get-together at Goleta Beach on July 12. We will be meeting at area D. This is Martin's (GreenRag) report ...

Fished West Goleta Beach next to the Rock from the 9am high tide through the 3pm low tide. Used my new 13' pole won at Catalina, 10# test, high-low leaders and medium size sand crabs. Fishing was fantastic - same bites as yesterday but this time I went to bigger hooks (#4's) and started landing more of them. Yesterday I got a 13" sandbass and a 13.5" Sargo at the same spot. This area is right next to Group Area 'D' where we will be holding the Get-Together ... maybe we will have fresh-caught halibut at the BBQ :)
