I have booked a 1.5 day trip out of San Diego next week. And have a some questions about fishing plastics on the slide. Of course I’ll be using Big Hammer Swimbaits and taking lots of pictures

1st What size and color swim-bait?

2nd Size and brand lead head? (I have heard of some lead heads having the hook straighten)

3rd What technique works best? I’m thinking after the jig stop, cast back and free spool. if I don’t get hit on the drop, use a medium fast retrieve pausing every couple of cranks.
