Went out of Noyo Harbor for some salmon and found 1. It was about 18+ pounds and was caught in 185 feet of water, trolling at 30 feet deep.
The fish was just south of the 3rd bouy.
Once we were done I slowly picked up on the throttle until about half way back we heard a loud NOISE. Something in the outdrive went out. :(
The Coast Guard towed us in and left my bud with a "fix-it" ticket for lack of enough life vests, no air horn and no flares.
Those have been fixed but the outdrive is another deal altogether.
It was a slow day but things were picking up as the afternoon wore on.
Too bad we weren't fishin'!
