I'm a new user to this board, and really enjoy the posts. I took my wife and two nephews (7 and 11 years-old) to Torrey Pines beach in North San Diego. I used some hammerheads to try for some flatties, but rigged up everyone else for perch using a 1 1/2 grub on a Carolina rig. The perch wents nuts! The 11-year-old caught 7, the 7-year-old caught 5, and the wife caught 2 all in about 3 hours. My wife and I spent most of our time untangling the boys and setting them up. The boys are hooked now. We're going again today.
