Hey there,

I'd use a spinning outfit and Carolina rig with a 1/4oz sliding egg sinker, 8lb test main line, small bead and swivel and a 4lb test, 4 to 5ft fluorocarbon leader with a #6 to #10 octopus hook for your 1 1/2" grubs. Some might say that's a little light but better that than ziltch. You might want to put some calico cocktail or smelly jelly on your offering.
