Hey there, Rob pretty much summed it up, but I will add a couple things, in regards to to the meter, I tend to look for the hard bottom/structure spots in 55-90ft of water, Im more concerned about being on the rock more so than if Im metering fish, rember two things,#1 your drifting so your taking the bait to the fish, and #2 just because you don't meter fish doesn't mean they are not there in the nooks and crannies of the reef waiting to pounce, also just because there is an abundance of fish on your meter doesn't mean they will bite. Current and or wind drift plays a major role in my success, no movement, no bite!. Colors of Hammers to use this time of year browns/reds/oranges or combos there of in a 4-5in size, I like a 1oz head with a 4/0hook on my 5in baits and a 3/4oz with a 3/0 hookon my 4in baits. And definatly use some pro-cure!....Larry
P.S. Refer to Calico Fishing 555 on this site for techniques..
Real fish are measured in pounds - not inches!
