#14323, "Emotional rescue"

First thing in the moring. There I was, day dreaming about Charo when I get the first victim of the day on a black jig. Not measured and released.

People will survive in their environment….. I only had a Corona …..five cent deposit.

2bin gets on the board with his first fish.

You know I’m born to loose, and gambling’s for fools, but that’s the way I like it baby. I don’t wanna live forever.

O’side nails a beefy bass.

We drift up to a clearing and I throw out the Spinbomb. Let it sink, start it up, and I feel a little thump.

Nice keeper ling on my spinnerbait!! I was pretty jazzed. Later we came back to that same spot and I threw the black TJW again I hook up something heavy. I’m fighting it for a long time in the clearing and then we see deep color. It’s NICE lingcod and he’s gonna be my second verified keeper of the day. Just then a harbor seal grabs him by the tail and after a long fight, I finally just squeeze the reel and break him off.

Later we do a buddy drift with Lawman and his sons. Adam get’s his first ling and it’s also a 25” keeper! It appears as though O’side is now dreaming about Charo. If you look closely you can see the corner of Lawman’s boat behind us.

It’s fun to obey the machine.

We watched these people near us with the double hook up of the century. We were convinced they were fighting the bottom. After days of bendo we see this gnarly tail splash out of the water. One guy breaks off, but the other guy is still on. Keep in mind these folks are in a kelp clearing on the anchor and about 50’ deep. I hail them on the radio and they inform us they have some kind of shark on. We stayed way back, but watched the fight and eventually the humans won. I cruised over for a picture.

They hooked these things on white Scampis. UNBELIEVABLE!! The lady with the upside down pole only aids in adding insult to injury.
