Well me and biology partner went to the harbor to catch sandbass as part of our biology project. We got there at like 4:30, couldn't roust up any sandies with the 3" plastics and 1/4oz. leadheads, but right around 6, it was getting waaaaay cold and we decided to jet...one more drop.... Caught a little grass bass. Ok, seriously it's time to go this time...it's way too cold...(I didn't have a jacket). I've got a box of plastics in one hand and my rod in the other, I drop down a piling with the plastics in my other hand, just messing around because I was waiting for my buddy to finish up a cast. 2 or 3 feet down I get bit, oh $hit, I put my thumb on the spool, keep the reel in freespool (my other hand was full, I couldn't use my right arm), set the hook, and without turning the handle once, lift a teensy grass bass off the piling and bounce him on the dock, it was pretty funny. "A Tribute To Grass Bass"... Anyway, that was it. We left right after that because when I couldn't make my hands grip the leadhead to remove the hook, I decided it was time to go. It took both hands to turn the ignition in the car by the way. Tomorrow- THE ONE MILE.
