Get a bait tank net used for dipping live bait on a private boat. They are about 24 to 30 inches long with a 1/4 inch soft mesh net about 6 x 8 rectangle or 7 inch dia.. Wood or alum handle. About $12 or less. Just scoop the visible areas holding sand crabs--works killer. Stows under your fanny pack strap or in your backpack. Metal scooper traps are old school and awkward.
