Fished Silverwood from shore this morning from 8-11. The water is more clear now than it was in February, I would say 20+. I was hoping the fish were still in prespawn because I really wanted to get bit on the jig today but I had no such luck. Before the wind came up I spotted a couple of males cruising in about 5 ft. of water off of a point, but no females or beds. They may be bedding out deep, but I doubt it because the water is still pretty cool. Anyway, back to fishing-I fished the whole stretch of land between Cleghorn and the marina with a jig, spinnerbait, Big Hammer and a 7" oxblood worm and didn't even get a bite. Finally the wind came up and I got tired of battling the hoards of trout fishermen lining the shore so I left at 11. Beautiful day on the water, I just don't know what the bass are doing right now.
