Well Castaic Dave and I hit Castaic on Sunday in hopes of getting into the awesome bite that was suppose to be going on. We thought it would be on fire since the lake was closed due to high winds for the last 3 days. Well it was a slow day overall with bites far and few in between. We fought the wind most of the day but no matter where you go on that lake it just seems to be windy. The main reason for the trip was to teach Dave how to fish a jig. Well I guess I am not a very good teacher because he got skunked. I did manage 4 fish with the biggest being 4Lbs. Hope I was able to teach you something about jig fishing, Dave??? Maybe next time. All in all a fun day on the water.
