I witnessed somehting amazing but true on easter yesterday....i was fishing with a buddy the other day at Castaic in a cove and a man was also fishing there from shore. we werent paying much attention to him casue he looked lost and old. however looked like he was on a mission. about 20 minutes later we look over and he in knee deep in the water fighting a huge fish!! bigggest ive ever seen. we worked our way over in our crappy boat and he was still fighting this fish. the fish was barly comming in then it would slowly go back. this went on for about 30 minutes becasue the man was stubborn and ddint want to horse the fish. he told us to leave casue it was just a normal bass....but we knew it wasnt. finally after 45 minutes he netted the fish. i looked at it and immediatly thought WORLD RECORD!!! he said and i quote, "Ahh C'Mon boys are you kidding, even if it was, i dont catch fish like this for "World" records i catch them for my self records." i asked if we could weigh it on my boca grip and we did. we... it wasnt quite a world record but it was 20lbs 10oz. i know this sounds far fetched but it was the most amazing thing i had ever seen. before we could admire it more he let it go. as fast as it began it ended. the man said thanks for helping me and just left....im pretty sure he was stoked inside just ddint believe in all the publicity he might of got if it was infact the world record.
he got the fish on a live dad. it was amazing to watch and even more amazing when he just let it go and then left. does anyone know it he said anyhting to any one that fished that day. i doubt it but he could of.
