got out to buena vista about 11 am. launched in lake webb. fished the west end of the water gate for a carp on chicken liver. only fish caught from that lake. at about 2 pm, decided to pick up and launch at lake evans. the water is deeper there. about 20 ft deep in the deepest spot compared to 10 in lake webb. WOW!!!!!!! fished evans for 7 total channel cats. all of them about 6-8 inches. the fish were small today, but there are large fish in the lake. i think a state record cat was caught there a couple of weeks ago. the water is extremely muddy as it has always been. i filled the livewell with water to only see the bottom of the well disappear. i think that if i have enough time to load the boat, drop a twenty in the gas tank and head to a lake to fish for the day, i'll go to pyramid or isabella instead of bv. it's pretty much a mud puddle.
