#301, "Carneros"

Just got back from the lake. It was windy and cold as a witches ##### in November. Rain clouds were looming overhead but they were too scattered to produce any rain, so at least that worked out. The windy conditions lately have pushed all that like green/sometimes red floating plant stuff (it's always in like alligator ponds and stuff...) into the little clearing in the brush that I usually fish, so it's not much of a clearing anymore. I started out throwing a flat tailed grub. No fish in the clearing. I moved over to the spot where I got Pete's tagged fish yesterday and as I was twitching the grub over the top of the floating plant stuff, this bass jumps completely out of the water to hit this thing like a trout. I get it to the tube and it turns out to be a nice 3 pounder. That was it for today. I threw a powercraw for a little bit, but didn't get bit. It's been kind of one fish days lately at Carneros. Maybe tomorrow I'll try the harbor. Later on.
