Here's some updates after this years winter so far...

4. Large bass are less influenced by weather systems than small bass.

Ok, so now I'm not so sure about this one. But I think it still holds some truth. Now I think stable weather is good for size and numbers, bad weather is good for size and not so good for numbers, prefrontal weather is great for size and not so good for numbers, and postfrontal weather is not so good for either. Pretty much popular thought I guess.

6. Winter bass like steep banks best.

I still think this is true. But as far as points vs. cuts both have been producing equally well this year for me.

7. The most consistent depth range for winter bass is 10-20 feet.

Depends a lot on the reservoir. McClure in the winter is probably most consistent at 50-60 feet. Lexington in the winter doesn't have water over 40 feet deep. Maybe it'd be better to say deeper water is more consistent, but you might hit bigger fish by sticking shallow all day.
