Ah yes, the "demise" of El Salto... Once again "man" has taken the low road , yeah, let's kill all the birds, that'll bring back the HUGE schools of tilapia that used to be in that lake. One can earn a living "gillnetting" -it's NOT fishing, but these idiots, and they ARE idiots(but IDIOTS ABOUND EVERYWHERE don't they.....),have only one creed-- TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE ------- I think you get my drift ..... and WHERE is the "government"that "controls" that lake and the area around it. When the USA CASH $$$$$ stops flowing to that micro economy there, it will be THEIR OWN D A M N FAULT! (because people will stop paying big bucks for mediocre fishing, ESPECIALLY when they KNOW how good fishing USED to be , but due to the NEGLIGENT BEHAVIOR of those involved,gill netters and gov't, it now mere shadow of it's former self). I was planning a trip there last year and called it off after hearing countless negative reports. Until SOMEONE, (ANYONE!)- Explains to these folks, that they are shooting themselvs in the foot(literally...) and unless they RADICALLY change their practices, they WILL be eating dirt. Could someone give me a hand here, this soapbox is kinda high ... it's just tht lake was SO SPECIAL, and they've RUINED it.... (big surprise there huh?) --- Be Safe, Alex
