Cachuma sucked today. Me and Todd fished it from 12 to 5 and didn't catch anything. Todd had one bass
attack his spinner bait while he was crawling it along the bottom right in front of it but I think it was getting
so pissed off from being harassed that it was going for his spinner bait's jugular. Todd and I never caught
anything all day. I think the only logical explanation is that all the aggressive bass dug a big tunnel from
Cachuma to margarita and they all went over there and that's why the bite is on fire at margarita and dead at
Cachuma. It couldn't be that they've been harassed day after day for three months and traumatized by
spinner baits and soft plastic worms invading their nests. The fishing sucked, the weather was hot and then
got cold when the wind picked up at around 4. there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the water was still clear. I
have one more thing to say. Keeping largemouth bass during the spawn is not cool. I think if you catch a bass
on a nest you should let it go and have baby bass. If you want to keep some bass do it in the summer or
something. And if you really want some fish dinner, catch a trout!!! they don't taste like mud!!!
