#14000, "Another Mclure report"

Went up to Mclure again tuesday night to wednsday morning, water is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay low. But the fishing is still decent. Fished the mclure point dock with a floating light, saw some big carp and probably the biggest cat I've ever seen. Below my light in about 10-12 feet of water there was a cat that i swear had to be 3 1/2 feet. And it definitely wasn't a carp, he came into the light enough for me to see him clearly, i could even see detail enough to see some scars on his back. HUUUUUUUUUUGE fish! Caught mess of crappie, including my biggest ever, he was 14 inches with a mouth about 2 inches around. Not a huge fish, but as for crappie i'd say it was definitely above average, caught all the crappie on live minnows, just splitshotted and dropped about 5 feet out from the dock. Once the sun came up we got a few bass on live minnows, small yellow buzzbaits, and green/watermelon worms splitshotted and crawled really slow. Overall fishing's doing good up there, good luck all.
Hunter.
