Couldn't stay away from the lake after last night so I cruised up around noon to begin what has to be my<BR> best trip to the lake lifetime. Today basically boiled down to this. 15 bass in the boat over 5 hours. Nothing<BR> under 2 pounds but nothing boated over 3lb 1oz. 13 of the fish I caught on the 7" AC minnow with one on a<BR> worm and one on a live shad back at the marina BS'ing with Dean. I fished from the marina cove all the way<BR> to the white oak launch ramp, and from the coves across white oak to the east bank of jackass canyon. I was<BR> basically runnin' and gunnin' the whole time. I had, and I'm not even making this up, between 40 and 50<BR> follow ups on the AC. Most fish were 2-3lb but I saw one by white oak that looked about 5 and two in<BR> jackass that looked like 4's. I also ran the boat over the biggest bass I've ever seen at Margarita over by white<BR> oak. Fish was probably a 6-7 pounder and she was on a nest but wasn't interested in my minnow. I did hook<BR> up on a toad in jackass canyon, brought her all the way to the boat from a loooong cast only to have the<BR> hook tear out as I reached down to lip her. That fish was looking close to 5lb. They must have put something<BR> in the water to make them this aggro. The water is clear and I saw a dozen or so nests during the course of<BR> the day. All the fish I caught but one were spawned out. The weeds are growing about 2 feet off the<BR> bottom and the water is pretty warm. I wish I had time to tell more but I'm out.
