just get a map, find a lake or stream....and hike in.

most of the popular areas will always have people. upper & lower owens, hot creek (ff, barbless only), rush creek, bishop, etc, etc.

the farther you hike, the less chance you have of running into people.

and, weekdays, cause weekends can be a zoo.:) :7 :D

goodluck. oh yeah, be sure to have deet as the mosquitos are out and watch out for bears.;)
