I thought he meant catch 'em in some secret corner of Castaic. Oops.
Don't worry, I've been fishing most of my life and do my best to avoid the gut hook. When it occasionally happens, I'm pretty good at going in through the gill with needlenose and pulling the hook with minimal damage. Only happened once on Saturday and I probably landed 10 largemouth. Of course I released 'em all. The stripers, however, ended up on the table!
