#7751, "replacing tails on castaic threadfin shad"

What is the best way to replace the soft plastic tail section on a Castaic threadfin shad? Do you use super glue, epoxy, or something else to bond the two pieces together? Any hints on ensuring the lure will run true after the new tail is on? Thanks for your help.
