#6683, "November 8, Dixon Lake"

Back for more. Didn't have a chance to get out after class yesterday as I'd hope to but the storm moved in last night and it was raining when I woke up this morning. Got up to the lake and threw the generic swimbait around. Fished from the handicap dock to about 3/4 of the way to the buoy line. Had two 5lb followers and that was it. When the frog mats got too thick back in there I threw the mission fish around for a few minutes and then tied on a slammer and fished back the way I came. I threw the slammer all the way from that spot almost to the buoy line, back past the handicap dock, back into trout cove and over to pier 3. Not even so much as a follow. It was raining the entire time without ever stopping, but it was a drizzle for most of the day. Only came down good for about 15 or 20 minutes. On that note I headed home for a lunch break and dried out a bit and then fished the evening "bite" (or lack thereof). I put on an osprey this time and as you can conclude didn't get any bites. I had one minnow follower in the same spot where I had a 5lb follower earlier. With about half an hour left in the day I drove around to pier 4 and tossed over an area where me and Brian #2 saw a big one a few days ago. Nothin goin on so when I saw the ranger coming down the road for last call I packed it up and called it a day.
