Hey Fred,

As I recall, Lopez Lake is by Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara. I've been to Cachuma numerous times and I'm not sure if Lopez looks any thing like Cachuma structure wise, but if they are alike, I have a couple tips for you.

Ive had good luck with a jig-n-pig from 1/4 oz. to 1 oz. depending on the depth in black, blue, purple, and brown colors by submerged tree's, rockpiles, and docks. Most fish that I got were in the 3 to 6 pound range. My buddy did manage to get a 9 pound largemouth and a 4 pound smallmouth.

Also if Lopez has a big log boom around the marina like Cachuma or some docks you can fish by, throw a swim bait right under those areas and you have a good chance of gettin' a monster bass or a bunch of quality fish.

Hope this helps you out dude!
