You need a boat at any of the lakes you mentioned, with a small, very rare exception, you almost never get anything that is notable from shore! Sorry bud, but these lakes are so heavily pressured that the fish stage just outside the drop-offs and sub-surface changes that aren't accessible from shore.:-)
