#4664, "night fishing at its finest!"

hey i went night fishing last night, left my house at 10:30 pm and was on the water at 11:15. i only brought a few things. two casting rods...(both medium heavy bps bionic blade), 2 C-Rig setups both with 1/4 oz weights, black with red flake BIG dead ringers, and 2 black and brown terminator finesse jigs with a pack of black power craws for trailers. well i started throwin the carolina rig and first cast BAM a nice 3 lb type fish. i proceeded to catch 6 more in the next 30 minutes from 1 1/2 to 5 lbs. then i switched to the jig. i caught 14 fish ranging from 1 lb to 5 lbs again. so by now its about 12:45, and im just itching for a giant fish. i toss the C-rig for a 4 lber in the next 30 minutes. switch to the jig. the moon was high and pretty bright by now, so i could see everything. i saw this great looking dock with brush sticking out of the bottom of it. i pitched the jig right up beside the dock and let it fall. i get hit hard but didnt hook up. i pitch back in there and catch a little 1 lb type fish. next stretch of shoreline is rocks, so i was c riggin down it for the next 20 minutes. i got 2 more fish one 2 lber and one 3 1/2 lber. these were the most active night fish i have seen in a while...best night trip by far. n e ways, now its about 2:00. on the next dock there is a light shining into the water. i can see there is a lot of commotion, and there is, bunches of small bluegills trying to get the bugs on the water. then i see her.....the biggest bass ive ever seen in a lake. this fish was huge. at leats 13 lbs. so i said I GOTTA GET THIS FISH!! well i have 2 anchors in my boat, so i eeeaasily put them overboard, one in front, one in back. i was about 10 yards away from the action. i observed the fish for about 5 minutes. it would swim in a circle around the gills, then dart through the middle...and it wasnt leaving tille she got one. well i tossed the jig in and immediately the fish follows it to the bottom...(about 3 ft deep with clear water). the fish goes nose down on it, but then gets un interested and starts the circling again. it sat nose down on that jig for 5 minutes. i pitched the jig in and worked it back about 8 more times. all the fish would do was kinda give it a look. then all the gills just kinda scattered for no reason i guess, and the fish was just sitting there, motionless. i pitched the jig onto the bank beside the light. i quietly dragged it into the water. i ho it right over the fish, and it catches her eye....immediately it inhales it!!! all this stuffs going through my mind, and i realize the drag is waaay to loose, this fish had made a run to some deeper water, and so i tightened up and i guess it was too tight, and the fish comes up, jumps around and then bulldogs back down(this is when i know for sure this isnt a catfish or a carp), snaps my rod and my line. i was soo pissed at myself. this line was 15 lb test, without a nick that i know of. well well well another sad fisherman. oh well thats fishing at its finest. i C rigged back to the ramp for about 10 more fish from less than a pound to 4 lbs. damn this hurts!
