Fished a WON Tourney their this past weekend. The wind was blowing like a son of a ##### so it made staying on our spots hard. Like most that fished that day our trolling motor batteries were died by noon so we tried drifting and still caught a few to help cull out the smaller fish. Not one of our fish came from sight fishing. Didn't finish as good as I expected too but that is the way fishing goes. First place had 22 pounds and we ended in 50th place with 13.29 pounds. All the fish we caught came on drop shotted oxblood worms in 2-10 feet of water. I had prefished the weekend before and had tore them up! I caught 22 fish with my best 5 being 22+ pounds and my buddy LOPY caught 5 and we both lost numerous fish because of fish taking us into stick ups and breaking us off on 6lb test. The guy I fish the tourney with caught 6 between him and his buddy so tourney time came it was my spots that we were going to fish. Most of the fish we caught were largemouth with a few smallmouth mixed in. But come tourney time the largemouth just didn't copperate with us so we chased after the easier smallmouth which are always a blast to catch. I plan on going up there again to take my daughter so she can get in on the action, hopefully the wind won't be there!

P.S My buddy Lopy nicknamed "No Fish" because he has had a hard time the last few years catching fish called me and asked that the next time I post something that I say something nice about him. Well here you go Lopy you could do better if you just listen to me a little bit more. Hope that was good enough for you!!!!
