#365, "Big Bass in Lake Wholford"

Two good friends and myself took a fun fishing trip to Lake Wholford. The water is low these days. We caught some decent fish on speed traps right off the bat on the bank. Moving to an outside rockpile (there's not too many so take a good guess), my friend Brett Woodward hooked and boated a nice 3lber, at the same time my friend Cameron Smith hooked up to a solid fish. He claims he didn't think it was a big fish, not over five anyway. After a relatively brief fight, his line swims toward the surface for our first look at the fish. The thing was at least a ten!!! About that time this monster thrashed her head around and threw the Fat Free Shad back at me in the back of the boat. Bye bye fish. Cameron couldn't shake it off all day after that!

We lost a number of fish on cranks and even worms that day. Wholford fish seem to not really take baits well some days. Weird.
