After all hell broke loose at my house last week as far as weather goes, I decided to once again to get out on the water. After a week of warm daytime temps in the 70s, I knew the bass had to be in prespawn. Like 2 weeks ago the bass had been in prespawn at the local club lake but the weather had turned to sh-t by the time my school schedule allowed me some time to fish! ;( Even in Palmdale they had rain and hail over the weekend, and over here in the mountain boondocks we got some snow! Which of course sent the bass straight back into the depths and screwed up any chance of catching anything soon... The storm ended being more sh-t talk than anything and blew high pressure and bright blue skies around till like Tuesday x( . The last 4 days were awesome weather, and the fish finally started to hit again! :) Got to the local club lake @ 4:15 to shore fish till dark, and like my 3rd cast I end up sticking a 3 lber. on a chart spinnerbait next to little tule point! I saw bass cruising aorund but the water still seemed a bit cooler than it should've been. But I only ended up with one more hookup on a jig later on, but he was a small guy and got off. I had several more bites on the jig but I missed them on the set. :o Not a stellar day but improving, right? Hell no! Supposedly tomorrow and next week a big a$$ storm off the Pineapple Express is rollin' in and bringin' like 10" of moisture with it! Why can't the weather just stay good for me???
