Sorry I did not answer right away but I been in Castaic all week just got home to simi valley It sounds like you are on a boat, if you had live shad. Agood place to fish when they plant is at the point on the right side of the ramp (north side) and the cove where the old road ( (when you start down to the lake notice the gate straight ahead it is gated) at the bottom of this road in that cove is also a good place because the trout will hold in there. There is trout still holding at the west ramp but no striper or bass yesterday and today.
