Bassman brings up an excellent point. I have been aware of the effects of oxygen levels in relation to the location of fish for a long time but I have neglected to as pay much attention to it as I should. What I do focus on are the patterns and whatch for conditions that have turned on the bite in the past. Just before or even during (especially during spawn) a storm the bite definitely seems to pick up. It's not just a freshwater thing either. It seems to get the calico's going too. I also focus my efforts on locating areas holding an abundance of forage. You can find bass but that doesn't necessarily meen they will bite. You can find bait and that doesn't mean the bass will bite either but generally bass won't venture too far from the kitchen and when they do go on the bite these locations ussually turn in to a good source of bass. The lakes I ussually fish are rarely clear actually chocolate milk is a better choice of words. See you on the water guys.
