I fish the SGV lakes during the week after work. Legg is the closest to home for me so I fish more than the others (Santa Fe or Pudd) with the exception of Peck which I almost never fish although if asked the question which public lake in the SGV has the biggest bass I would probably choose Peck and if you have a lot of time on your hands and endless amounts of patience with a high tolerance for frustration then may be you just might catch one of those Peck rd. monsters. If asked which lake has the least amount of bass per acre in the SGV I would say Legg and for the most bass per acre I would go with Sante Fe but the best lake in the SGV is hands down Pudd. Anyways, Shark has provided some excellent advice as always. The guy catches fish everywhere he goes fresh or salt. If you learn how to consistantly catch bass or any other kind of fish that call these waters home than you can catch fish anywhere. Conditions there change on a dime and the best advice I can give for Legg Lake or any other waters is time spent on the water will ultimately lead to success. Send an email when you plan on heading down.
