I got 3rd place over the weekend in our club's San Diego district championship. Two day event on Lake Otay. I had three bites on a jig on the first day, (as if that's not crazy enough) and was only able to boat one of them. I broke a giant off pitchin my jig in thick wood and tules. Not prepared at all with line or rod size. The second day I had a nice limit on Splash Its and TD Minnows. Lots of fun.
