Anyone having problems being checked by DFG ? I'm really glad to see these guys out and about, we need them, but learn how to drive a boat!

I have never been checked as much as I have been this year. I took a brake from the lakes (gas prices )and have been fishing the rivers closer to home. The guys (DFG) I have come in contact with have been very polite and friendly but they seriously need to develop some boat handling skills. I have been rammed into three times in two weeks.

The first time this happend I was in the back of a little slough off the main river. DFG came in pretty fast and didn't come off pad until 30 feet from me. Regardless to say they hit me pretty hard. I saw it comming and sat down, otherwise I would have fallen out of the boat. The guy in the front of the boat tried to soften the blow but almost broke his wrists in the process. After they checked me they proceeded to run their boat into a tree and get stuck? It was pretty comical but they ruined the water I was fishing. Next day I was checked again by the same pair, rammed me again.

Third time I was on a different river. I had worked my way back into a little cut used for irrigation, maybe only twice as wide as the boat. Man I was killin the fish! Pretty soon I hear a boat and I can tell it's a jet. I set the hook on a 6 lber. right as the boat comes flying into the cut. I land the fish just as they run into me almost knocking me into the water and running my boat into the bank. Had to hang on for a minute until the waves subsided and my boat stopped slamming into the bank. This time I was a little hot and let them know about it. They just asked for my license and told me to have a nice day. For the next 10 minutes they backed their boat out of the cut, not able to turn around, banging into the trees and bank. That was the end of the fishing on this spot!

I'm really glad to see the DFG out on the water. I have seen them nail a couple of people for under-size fish wich I think is great. I just really wish they knew more about how to handle their boats.
