Now that sounds like a great idea. I can see how that would work well with all clips open. They are strong enough to pull up a rod but if it hung up it would be easy to straiten the clips to get the stringer back and plenty heavy to sink.

I will get one just for this. We all have rods that cost some bucks.

I hope some how you get your rod back Swim-bait.com. It is a bumber to have to replace what you all ready had.
